In rare cases, a home participating in the RNC program will be intentionally constructed and finished out without an appliance. If that appliance is a dishwasher or refrigerator, it is important that the home be submitted to the program with a UDRH-level appliance modeled.
Failure to do so can result in inaccurate savings, both over and under the actual savings. Dishwashers in particular are very finicky and attempting to zero out the inputs can result in significant shifts in savings.
The program is reviewing all dishwasher and refrigerator inputs in submitted homes to ensure that builders receive accurate savings and rebates. In the rare case that a home is modeled without an appliance, please make a note in REM file that is submitted to the program. In this case, the file can be submitted to the program prior to uploading the file to the RESNET registry.
